Welcome to my creative space!
I’m Emma- the gal behind the camera & the creative mind behind Album House Photo. I am a 25 year old certified funky outfit wearer and lover of all things fashion & photo! I consider myself artistic soul with a free spirit & drive for creative dreaminess & fun. I have two of the sweetest, cutest cat babies in the world- Phoebe & Birdie and we just welcomed sweet Bogey boy to the family this past Thanksgiving. I can guarantee you’ll hear me chat about them!
I graduated from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington in 2023 (go Seahawks!) with my degree in Communication & Marketing. While I love my degree and previously used it in my 9-5, I needed something to pour my heart and soul into and quite frankly, marketing was not it! A few creative shoots and a lot of hard work later- Album House Photo was born.
Since I can remember, I have been snappin’ pics. I saved up and bought my very first DSLR camera when I was 13 years old. Since then, I have been learning, growing, and maturing in my photography daily. From pictures of bugs in the grass to being hired for my very first wedding- it is so surreal to have come this far. In the evolution of my craft, I have fallen in love with the art of documentary style photography, which is the direction I aim my sessions. I’ve been blessed to do what I love full time for over two and a half years now- what an honor and a blessing to get to capture your memories for a living!
The past year of my photography has been pivotal in my style and skill evolution. As I found my footing in this space, my confidence as a photographer has soared. I have always approached the art with a documentary lens of capturing the moment as its happening. However, over the past year I have developed and landed on my work being a beautiful mix of documentary and editorial style photo. I believe I have found the perfect balance of storytelling to make it feel like you are flipping through a curated magazine.. leaving your gallery feeling candid, effortless, intentional, and chic.
It is so important that we connect as photographer and client to allow you to feel your most comfortable self at your session and get those effortless feeling photos. I’ll bring all the conversation and fun vibes to keep the energy up and you guys feeling your very best. My hope is that when you leave your session, you are able to reflect on it as the highlight of your day. An hour of your day that left you smiling, encouraged, & relaxed!
